Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika on Tuesday held a surprise visit to four hospitals on the island to monitor implementation of the recently launched national health insurance (JKN) program.
The central government launched the long-awaited JKN program on Jan. 1. Pastika was with Bali Health Agency head Ketut Suarjaya to inspect Sanjiwani Public Hospital in Gianyar, Bangli Public Hospital, Bangli Mental Hospital and Klungkung Public Hospital.
The reelected governor said no problems appeared in the field, even waiting in line was orderly.
