Political commitment along with institutionalization is essential to maintain UHC agenda throughout different political terms and regimes. UHC is a social system that has domestic public financing and health workforces to be strengthened. However, there are some challenges that how the countries use the fund, level of funding, how to make sure the countries are implementing cost effectiveness in delivering service that give a good impact on health and education. UHC is leaving no one behind including young and ageing people. 60% of population are young people that drive economic but not so much investment in this group. Young people expect collaboration between government and young people in policy decision process, financial strengthening, and innovation in technology.
There is also hunger for social justice that need collaboration among ministry, public sectors, and private sectors. UHC needs good governance, research and regulatory capacity, adequate and equitable health care system based on primary healthcare, safe financial system, and political commitment (GRASP) as keys achievement. Political declaration is only windows dressing if we are not implementing it.
